Angle Zone????

I was at a clinic last weekend and I over heard another coach talking about "Angle Zone" and how hard it is to denfend, but before I could ask him about it he walked off

does any one know what it is, who runs it, and what makes it different from a regular zone blocking scheme

I BELIEVE THEY MUST BE TALKING ABOUT WHAT I CALL THE POWER ZONE CONCEPT. IT IS LKE THE IZ BUT RUN TO THE OUTSIDE HIP OF THE OT.

Is the footwork any different than regular IZ?

If it is the OUTSIDE ZONE - the steps are different (wider angle). Aiming Point for UNCOVERED blocker is helmet of DLM on his adjacent teammate (towards playside). Aiming Point for COVERED blocker is outside armpit of DLM. Getting the eyes on aiming point is important because speed to the aiming point is ESSENTIAL: The following link SHOWS it:
